Eliminating cross-app handoffs in video and storyboard work

AI-connected Adobe workflows let teams move storyboards and b-roll directly into Premiere without export or re-upload steps, reducing friction in creative production.

Why the human is still essential here

Editors and creative leads still choose the narrative, pacing, and final cuts; AI mainly removes file-transfer and setup busywork.

How people use this

Storyboard to rough-cut transfer

Creative teams assemble storyboard frames and reference media on a board, then send them directly into Premiere so editors can start shaping the cut without manual exports.

B-roll collection handoff

Producers gather approved b-roll on a shared canvas and import it into the edit environment in one step, cutting out download, relink, and upload delays.

Designers move visual concepts and selected clips from pre-production boards into Premiere for quick assembly of launch teasers and platform-specific cutdowns.

The most useful thing Adobe showed got the least applause.

The most useful thing Adobe showed got the least applause.

I was at the Adobe Creative Conference in Ahmedabad, hosted by MicroGenesis TechSoft. Everyone leaned in for the Firefly demos. I was watching the workflow underneath.

Three things I actually wrote down.

Firefly Graph. A node canvas where each step is a block. One node generates the image, the next masks it, the next shifts the color, the next resizes it for every channel. You wire it once, then run the whole chain again for the next campaign. The workflow becomes a reusable asset, not something living in one person's head.

Boards straight into Premiere. Storyboard and b-roll on one canvas, pushed into the edit with no export, no download, no re-upload. The work never leaves the line.

The Firefly AI Assistant across all of it. Describe the outcome in plain words and it runs the steps across Photoshop, Premiere and Express. The handoffs between apps just vanish.

Here is why it hit me.

Generating is cheap now.

Anyone can make ten options in a minute.

The hard part left is judgment.

Which chain fits this brand. Which of the ten fits this moment, this person. A node cannot decide that. A prompt cannot either.

So I left glad, not nervous. The machine handles the busywork. The taste stays human.

If your tools ran end to end like that, what is the one step you would keep human?
