Organizing recruitment information

AI is used to organize messy recruiting information so the recruiter can work through inputs more efficiently.

Why the human is still essential here

AI can structure information, but the recruiter must decide what matters, read nuance, and connect the information to the realities of the team and role.

I use AI every day. I just don't let it decide who someone should hire!

I use AI every day. I just don't let it decide who someone should hire!

It's brilliant for research, for organising a mess of information, for finding candidates at a scale I could never match on my own.

What it can't do is sit across from a founder and clock that the job spec doesn't actually describe the person they need. It can't hear the half-second hesitation in someone's voice when they answer a question they weren't expecting. It has no idea about the history behind a hiring decision, the politics in a leadership team, or the unspoken reason a candidate will thrive in one business and quietly wither in another.

AI is going to change recruitment, and honestly it should. It's also going to expose the recruiters whose entire value proposition was finding names and firing off CVs!

The future isn't AI versus recruiters. It's recruiters who use AI for speed and still trust their own judgement on the stuff that actually makes a hire work.
